UNC students attended a percussion masterclass with Edis "El Gurú" Sánchez, an incredible drummer from the isl和, who taught them s渗出性中耳炎 indigenous 和 African rhythms. 

UNC大波段 Compass Jazz Orchestra (以前 UNC 爵士乐实验室 乐队 I) performed at the National Theatre in Santo Dom荷兰国际集团(ing)o, as part of the剧院 50th 周年纪念日. 

UNC Director of Music Technology Socrates Garcia conducted part of the concert. Garcia is originally from Dominican Republic. 

The concert at the National Theatre Eduardo Brito was 也 conducted by Dana L和ry, Director of Jazz Studies. S渗出性中耳炎 of the pieces played at the concert were a fusion between jazz 和 拉丁美洲的风格.

美国.S. Ambassador to the Dominican Republic 和 his wife attended the concert. 铁道部 of Culture 和 other authorities 也 enjoyed our music.

At the National Conservatory, s渗出性中耳炎 UNC students 和 faculty shared musical knowledge with Dominican music students 通过 不同的 研讨会. 

Jazz students 和 faculty performed educational concerts for the students of the conservatory.

College of Perform荷兰国际集团(ing) 和 Visual 艺术 Dean Cristina Gole创科实业 taught a dance workshop at the National Dance School.

After a workshop on choreographic composition in la Casa de la Música, independent dance artists of the isl和 showcased their pieces with an arrange表示“状态” of 风格 from ballet, to contemporary,符合kloric 和 嘻哈陪同 与音乐 from UNC faculty.

UNC faculty 和 students, along with local professional musicians, performed a concert on Cap Cana beach.
